The canned beef from Qali Warma delivered to public schools, for the preparation of lunches, actually contained horse meat, according to a complaint made on the Cuarto Poder program by a former employee of the Frigoinca company, owned by Nilo Burga.
Noemí Alvarado Llanos revealed in the Sunday newspaper about the poor state in which the canned goods for schools from the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (Midis) program were distributed. They would be canned beef and chicken from the Don Simón brand, from Frigoinca.
Photographs and videos revealed the preparation of these products under questionable safety measures, but above all with the presence of horse remains, which would be proof that the preserves would contain this product that is harmful to health.
This type of products, distributed by Qali Warma, would have caused the poisoning of children at the Gamaliel Churata school, in Cabana, Puno, last March.
Different WhatsApp chats shown by Noemí reported on the findings in the canned goods. To hide all these complaints, the company would have corrupted personnel from Qali Warma and the General Directorate of Environmental Health (Digesa) to disappear this evidence, which was part of the functions of this Frigoinca saleswoman.
These irregularities would have been committed since years in which the presidential spokesperson, Fredy Hinojosa, was the director of Qali Warma; Julio Demartini was the vice minister of the sector and Dina Boluarte was at the head of Midis.
In this regard, Midis issued a statement in which it was reported that it no longer works with the company Frigoinca since November 7.
