PVEM and PT, with the highest fines in the first two months

Plan B will affect the access of vulnerable groups to Congress, says the INE

So far in 2023, the parties sanctioned with the highest amounts due to fines by the National Electoral Institute (INE) are the Green Ecologist of Mexico (PVEM) and Labor (PT), allies of Morena.

In the first case, the amount for this concept exceeds 36 million pesos, while for the PT members the amount exceeds 33 million, according to official data. The cut is made directly from the budget assigned monthly for these political institutions.

The other two parties with the most fines in the first two months of this year are Morena, with just over 12 million pesos, and Acción Nacional (PAN), with more than 10 million pesos.

The information indicates that the reduced resources for the PVEM due to fines and sanctions for January were 19 million 751 thousand 301 pesos, plus 16 million 418 thousand 432 in February, with which in the first two months it was sanctioned with a total of 36 million 169 thousand 794 pesos. The monthly financing for this political institute is 42 million 296 thousand 137 pesos.

In January, 16,899,678 pesos were deducted from the PT and for February they were 16,575,188, due to sanctions, for a total of 33,474,866 pesos in the two months, almost its one-month budget. which is 33 million 799 thousand 357 pesos.

Morena is the party with the highest financing, with a monthly figure of 153 million 130 thousand 218 pesos. The concept for sanctions for this party were, in January, 7 million 910 thousand 391, and in February, 4 million 388 thousand 193, for a sum of 12 million 298 thousand 584 pesos.

According to INE data, the PAN did not receive discounts during January for fines, but in February it was fined 10,557,134 pesos, just over 10 percent of its monthly budget of 91,778,496 pesos.

The parties that in the first two months of 2023 had fewer resources subtracted from their financing due to these circumstances were the Institutional Revolutionary (PRI), which in the two months added discounts of 2 million 459 thousand 602 pesos, while its monthly budget is 89 million 928 thousand 345 pesos.

Also the Party of the Democratic Revolution, which was sanctioned in January and February with one million 160 thousand 203 pesos, while every 30 days it receives 35 million 363 thousand 798 pesos.

Movimiento Ciudadano was reduced 300 thousand 192 pesos in that two-month period, when the figure it receives each month is 48 million 371 thousand 686 pesos.
