“Prices through the roof”, this is how the users of this airline describe it, they do not explain how they charge a Chocoramo for 7,500 and the achiras for 12,000 pesos. In itself, there are complaints about the menu prices.
Colombian News.
On December 1, the Avianca airline made some changes to improve the experience of its users, including the on-board menu that allows paying for drinks, snacks, combos and comfort services.
However, through social networks, the messages of disagreement with the high costs of the products were visible to thousands of users on Twitter.
Well, it is not explained how some achiras that sell for 1,342 pesos in the market charge them at 12,000 pesos or a chocorramo, which its regular price is 2,090 pesos, has a cost of 7,500 pesos.
“The increase could be more moderate, but they raise more than 5,000 and 10,000 for these products,” they denounced.
A user of the social network on Twitter decided to notify her disagreement and even made a call to the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce on the subject.
what@sicsuper is it allowed that @Avianca copper in a flight some achiras in 12,030 COP, for something that in the super is worth 1,342 COP? pic.twitter.com/LSiUYTBvL3

Although he did not receive a response from the Superintendency, Avianca Listen did respond and I justify the reason for the prices:
«Do you know the value of taking yourself to 36,000 feet with a product, Natalia? Relax, we tell you; transportation, refrigeration, and distribution also count.”
Likewise, other users commented on the cost of the chocoramo at 7,500 and in response the Avianca Escucha account stated the following:
«Putting wings on a chocoramo is not an easy task, but because of you and your whim we did it; They are tasty that you give yourself. I am Lu”, they responded from the official account of the airline.

Many also disputed charging for products such as water, coffee, and peanuts that were previously free.
Given this, the airline explained that these changes will only apply to some flights, depending on the distances and starting points.
And, in terms of menu costs, there are a series of logistics processes that lead to increased prices.
