For years, the corner formed by the streets Felipe Vicini Perdomo and Francisco Núñez Fabianin Villa ConsueloNational District, has been one of the most contaminated due to the large amount of refrigerator waste, stinking water and other waste.
Many of the unusable refrigerators are taken to the place to scrap themtake out what can be sold and throw the waste in the corner. The waste occupies one of the sidewalks at the intersection.
A place of abandonment
Sometimes there are so many pieces of plastic from refrigerators that they occupy one of the two lanes of the street. Francisco Núñez Fabianwhich causes vehicle blockages that impacts part of the area and the sidewalks can never be used by pedestrians.
The authorities collect waste from time to time, but when they do not do it regularly the corner becomes chaotic, impassable, with an image of abandonment and lack of authority. The scrappers don’t seem to care that they occupy a public space.

The Directorate of Public Spaces of the Mayor’s Office of the National District maintains contact with the men who make a living from the business of dismantling refrigerators, but sometimes the situation gets out of their control.
Apart from the solid wastethe corner is a permanent lagoon of putrid water which occupies several meters of the corner. The brown color of the liquid shows the pollution level, as well as the bad smell it generates.
In the place, the Government builds a electrical substation and, although since before its beginning, there are military surveillancethe street and sidewalk continue to be used to store debris that disfigure that part of the city, but that also threatens the health of the residents and users of the section.
