Russian President Vladimir Putin ratified a social security agreement between Russia and Uruguay. The document, published on the legal information portal, provides for a pension payment guarantee if Russian citizens move to Uruguay and Uruguayans to Russia.
These are old-age, disability, survival, supplementary pensions and other temporary savings payments, social pensions and funeral benefits.
“The ratification of this agreement will contribute to intensifying Russian-Uruguayan relations in the field of social security, will increase the level of social protection of citizens,” he said.
