The Ukrainian community also called for governments around the world to punish Russia by severing relations and expelling diplomatic officials from different countries.

The protests at the Russian embassy in CDMX were supported by residents of the capital.

While some attendees of the demonstration made use of the loudspeaker in front of the Russian embassy, ​​others took advantage of the red light of the traffic light on the inner circuit at the height of Chicontepec street to stand in front of the cars and wave flags, the drivers responded by honking their horns. as a sign of support.

The protest comes amid the advance of Russian forces in Kiev, the Ukrainian capital. Since Thursday, the Russian president launched a special military operation ignoring warnings from the West, while Russian security chief and former president Dmitri Medvedev assured that the actions would be carried out relentlessly until Putin’s goals are achieved.

“We have resisted and are successfully repelling the enemy’s attacks. The fight continues,” Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenskiy said in a video message from the streets of Kiev.
