Today it is one of the fastest growing activities within the lines of the manufacturing industry.

As of May of this year, according to Dane, the manufacture of footwear registered a growth in production of 29.2% compared to the same period in 2021.

Industrial sales, on the other hand, registered a variation of 36.9%, this behavior is mainly explained by the growth of orders for mother’s and father’s days, by the greater manufacture of endowment footwear and the increase in the consumption of footwear in the country, according to Acicam.

Regarding leather goods, in the first five months of the year official figures show growth of 20.2% in production and 14.4% in sales. This variation is due to the growth of backpack sales and catalog sales, which are generating great momentum in this sector.

Our fair is the largest showcase of footwear and leather goods in Colombia and is presented as a great opportunity for generating business that allows the sector to continue growing. Although the figures show good dynamics, there are still problems in obtaining raw materials.
