According to family members, the musician Yonathan Richard Ccapa Ambrosio (31), was murdered during a pitched battle that occurred at the Campo Ferial, where the serenade was held for the anniversary of the province of San Román, which was organized by private individuals and authorized by the authorities.

The body of the guitarist of an orchestra was found in the morning hours of October 24 at the door of the La Capilla de Juliaca Complex. His relatives said that the body would have been taken out and abandoned in that area by the security personnel of that activity.
The relatives stated that the inert body has bruises in various parts of the body, therefore, they assume that it was beaten in the pitched battle that occurred at the Campo Ferial. Although the result of the necropsy would be asphyxiation, that is, he was possibly scolded.
Ccapa Ambrosio, in addition to being a musician, had already completed a degree in Economic Engineering at the National University of the Altiplano in Puno. He leaves a child under 3 years old orphaned.
This Friday, family members, colleagues and friends gathered at the door of the morgue, asking the authorities to carry out an exhaustive investigation and sanction the promoters of this party. “We assume that someone recorded what happened, please, we ask that you provide us with the images,” said his father, Jesús Ccapa.
It is known that the event was organized by Wilberd Sardón Jove, who would have processed the authorizations.
In 2023, during Juliaca’s anniversary serenade, there was also a pitched battle and shootout, which occurred inside and outside the San Isidro stadium in this city. Despite this precedent, the authorities once again gave authorization for a similar event that ended with one person dead.
