A 73-year-old citizen ceased to exist after being hit by a vehicle on the Juliaca-Puno highway, in the jurisdiction of the Caracoto district.

The witnesses said that the accident occurred at approximately 7:45 in the morning, when the citizen named Calixto Tapara (73) was run over by the urban service vehicle registration A9Q-739. “He is a neighbor from the area, who was run over when he was crossing the track,” a witness claimed.
The unfortunate citizen, in the same vehicle, was helped to the emergency service of the Carlos Monge Medrano hospital, however, he arrived without vital signs. The police officers and the prosecutor on duty arrived at the hospital where they removed the body and then transferred it to the morgue of the Institute of Legal Medicine in the La Capilla urbanization of this city.
