The relatives of the victims, groups, residents of Juliaca and delegations from other regions participated in the different activities in memory of those murdered on January 9, 2023 during the protest against the Government of Dina Boluarte.
After three years of this incident, they once again demanded justice, in addition to questioning the acting prosecutor of the Nation, Tomás Aladino Gálvez, for deactivating the special team of prosecutors that investigate these cases. “With this deactivation they seek impunity,” warned the president of the Association of the Victims of January 9, Raúl Samillan.
In the morning, mass was held at the Pueblo de Dios Temple in the San Miguel district, in which the relatives of the victims and delegations participated. The suspended Attorney General, Delia Espinoza, was also at the mass.
Subsequently, hundreds of people, mostly family members, carried out a “funeral march” to the vicinity of the Manco Cápac airport in Juliaca where the riot took place. During the journey they harangued phrases against the government of former president Dina Boluarte.
The harangues were also against the current government, the Congress of the Republic, especially against the interim prosecutor of the Nation.
