In hours of the night of this Monday, the house of Popular Action congressman Jorge Luis Flores Ancachi, representative of the Puno region, was attacked by unknown persons. The event was recorded on Ica street, located in the San Miguel neighborhood, keycity of origin of the Acciopopulist parliamentarian.
As they were able to register residents of the area, the people responsible for the event proceeded to set fire to the home of legislator Flores Ancachi and then leave the place.
Witnesses told local media that the protesters who attacked the property of congressman Flores Ancachi gave as a reason for their actions that he “has not done anything for his region.”
After the day of protests unleashed in Puno, several places in the department have been left unprotected, several acts of looting were reported in this regard in the departmental capital and in other important cities of the Peruvian highlands.

After learning about what happened to his home, Congressman Jorge Luis Flores Ancachi issued a statement to the public opinion in which he expressed his condemnation of the acts of vandalism against his property. According to what he said, the fire at his home endangered the integrity of his family, who was in the building at the time of the attack.

“This is further proof that there are infiltrated people and that they do not care about physical integrity, nor respect for human life, in this sense these acts of vandalism cannot be justified, I demand that the Minister of the Interior, as well as the Minister of Defense, give security to all my family and their homes, because I fear for their safety and integrity”, said the parliamentarian.
According to what was expressed by Flores Ancachi, he and his family have been victims of threats, for whose instigation he blamed local leaders who would be inciting the population
“I urge the general population to remain calm and quiet, especially my brothers and sisters from Ilave – PunoIn the same way, I demand the Executive to form a High Level Commission and summon the regional leaders and establish a dialogue for the pacification of my Region of Puno”, the Acciopopulist legislator stated.
