A family from the Lagunitas sector of Puerto Montt, Los Lagos region, had the shock of their lives when they found a puma in the garden of their house.
The incident occurred this Friday morning, when the daughter of Patricia Risopatron -owner of the home- met the feline and decided to record it to tell what happened. “It was too shocking, I’m still a little sick,” said the owner in Radio Bio Bio.
“My daughter was going to go to work and there was a cougar at the kitchen door, there it was. We spent more than an hour where the cougar circulated through our plot and nobody answered so that they would come and look for it,” he added.

It came from the Eden Aviary Park
Preliminary information stated that the animal is an eight-month-old cougar and that it escaped from the Eden Aviary Park, where two other animals of the same species are kept in captivity.
the owner of the park, Christian Trujilloindicated in the same medium that personnel from the Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG) in the company of Carabineros are searching for the animal.
In addition, he pointed out that the puma is used to sharing with other animals, so it does not have the need to hunt, nor should it attack. He believes that the cougar is scared and looking for shelter, so he hopes that around 5:00 p.m., when it begins to get dark, it will go out to seek shelter.
