The Ministry of Mobility established a transit operation to control the entry of travelers.
The city is preparing to receive thousands of travelers who returned after the end of the year festivities. Between Friday and Monday holidayit is estimated that around 980,000 vehicles will enter the capital, while 845,000 will leave.
With the aim of guaranteeing safe mobility in the strategic corridors entering and exiting Bogotá, special operations were established. The Mobility Secretariat, headed by Claudia Díaz, reported that during this Three Kings holiday 413 units will be placed on the roads, including members of the Traffic Police, the Guide Group and Civil Traffic Agents.

The operations will include 100 civil agents, 228 units of the Road Management Operational Group and 85 members of the Traffic Police. These forces will work together to regulate and control traffic on the main accesses to the city.
On Monday, January 6, the regional peak and license plate measure will be implemented, which applies to the nine entrance road corridors. The restriction applies from 12:00 m. to 4:00 pm for plates finished in even numbers and from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. for those ending in an odd number.
The affected corridors will be the Autopista Norte, Autopista Sur, Avenida Centenario, Avenida Calle 80, Avenida Carrera 7, Avenida Boyacá, Vía Suba Cota, Vía la Calera and Vía a Choachí.

In addition to traffic regulation, the entity will implement traffic light plans that prioritized vehicle flow based on traffic conditions. The Traffic Management Center of the Ministry of Mobility will monitor the situation in real time in the main corridors and in the city.
The District Mobility Secretariat asked citizens to follow traffic rules during their return, remembering the importance of not overtaking in prohibited places, avoiding driving while intoxicated and always using the seat belt.
