It is not an isolated event
The attempted attack against the Venezuelan activist occurred when he arrived at his residence, located in Santiago, in the company of his wife and father-in-law.
Maita’s vehicle was intercepted by four individuals who were traveling in a private car, the Command with Vzla reported in a statement.
«Two of them got out of the car, openly displaying a firearm, in an act of clear intimidation and threat against their lives. Thanks to his quick reaction, the leader managed to escape and be unharmed,” explained the Command with Vzla when denouncing the incident publicly.
The Vzla Command assured that the attack against Maita is not an isolated event and recalled the murder in Chile of Lieutenant Ronald Ojeda, an adversary of the Maduro administration.
