Public Works fixes landslide on former Barceló Avenue

The Ministry of Public works built a sewer, a gabion wall and speed bump on P. Margen Avenue, former Miguel Barceló, from the Ramón Mella sector, located next to the Juan Bosch bridge, in Santo Domingo Este.

The problem had been reported by Free Newspaper on several occasions, but last June a brigade began to resolve the situation that affected road users every time it rained.

Signs, lighting and speed bumps were also installed on both sides of the section of road affected.

Now the waters run through three sewers of more than 50 inches in diameter, and in addition, in case of overflow due to blockage of the sewers, a speed bumpThe gabion walls will prevent a cliff from forming again in the ravine that connects a few meters away with the Ozama River.
