Public servants would have a salary increase of 7.26% since March

Group of businessmen ratify raising the 2022 minimum to $ 1 million

Under review by the Ministry of Finance is the decree that establishes a 7.26% increase in the salary of public servantsas reported by El Tiempo.

The increase would be effective from the month of March and would have retroactive from January and February.

The measure also would benefit 1,318,729 public officials that are part of the different official entities at the national and territorial level.

For now, the average income of a public servant in the country, according to data from the Department of Public Function that El Tiempo learned, is of $3,011,908 pesos.

By 2021, the wage increase for this population was 2.61%. In 2020, the increase was 7%, according to the decrees that the Ministry issues each year.

This type of regulations are prepared by the Administrative Department of the Public Function, which then submits them to the Ministry of Finance review for subsequent signature by the President of the Republic, which would happen in the coming days.
