The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, reported, through his account on the social network X, that the 6th prosecutor of the state of Anzoátegui, Maglen Marín Rodríguez, was arrested for failing to prosecute four subjects detained for the crimes of financing terrorism, inciting hatred and criminal association.
According to the Attorney General, the then prosecutor would have incurred the crime of intentional delay or omission of duties, since she did not criminally prosecute the people identified as Alfenis José La Rosa González, José Eduardo Malaver Rondón, Luis Antonio Bericote Malavé and Edén de Jesús Naranjo Monasterios, who are named in an investigation carried out by security forces.
The authorities accuse these people of financing the acts of vandalism that occurred in the Sotillo municipality of the aforementioned entity, following the presidential elections held on July 28.
