A public-private alliance between the Tourism Authority of Panama (ATP) and the Association for the Sustainable Development of El Valle de Antón (ADESVA) was established to strengthen tourism development and the quality of service offered to visitors. of this tourist area of the country
This alliance was agreed with the signing of the cooperation framework agreement, aimed at developing actions that allow the coordination of plans and programs of the Sustainable Tourism Master Plan (PMTS) 2020-2025.
Iván Eskildsen, administrator of the ATTT, explained that the El Valle de Antón Caldera Route is a path that will run around the ancient volcanic crater of El Valle, which will help position it as an ideal destination for adventure tourism.
For his part, the president of ADESVA, José Rogelio Jácome De La Guardia, indicated that the association will offer the ATP advice and support for the implementation of programs and projects that benefit El Valle.
“With the launch of the “Ruta de la Caldera de El Valle” in this tourist area of the country, attention will also be given to rural roads that are part of the route so that communities such as: Mata Ahogado, Macano, El Roble and Cabuya , among others, can enter the tourist economy and make it easier for them to access commerce, health and education”, assured Adrián Benedetti, coordinator of the 1,000 km of Paths Project.
