The authorities of the Public Ministry of Peru carried out a simultaneous operation to search the offices and residences, in Lima and in the interior of the country, of six congressmen from Acción Popular, investigated by the prosecution for the alleged crime of criminal organization.
Among these homes is that of a sister of Peruvian President Pedro Castillo, as reported by the president himself through his Twitter account.
The Public Ministry through its social networks, said that the purpose of the raid, in which prosecutors and members of the National Police participate, is to gather information on the alleged participation of these congressmen in directing works to Chinese and Peruvian consortium companies. .
In his message on Twitter, Castillo indicated that his mother was in the raided residence and that the situation affects her health.
Given this, the Public Ministry said that it guarantees at all times the rights and physical integrity of the people who are in the raided homes, for which the prosecutor in charge of the diligence has proposed and provided all the facilities so that the mother of the president of the Republic, be transferred to a hospital.
