He Public Ministry took a new step in the case’The Waykis in the Shadow‘.
During a procedure for the exhibition and delivery of documents carried out in the Provincial Subprefecture of Tarapoto, in San Martín, Team 5 of the EFICCOP found evidence that would reveal alleged irregular appointments of sub-prefects in the region.
The diligence was in charge of Subprefect Mery Pinchi Ramírez, who provided the documents required by the Prosecutor’s Office. According to the authorities, these records could confirm how the criminal network operated that would have designated people related to Nicanor Boluartea fugitive for the same case, in strategic positions, for political and economic purposes.
EVERYTHING POINTS TO THE PRESIDENTIAL ENVIRONMENT
Nicanor Boluarte, brother of President Dina Boluarte, is identified by the Public Ministry as the leader of this alleged criminal organization.
According to the investigation, ‘Los Waykis en la Sombra’ would have sought to place allies in prefectures and sub-prefectures of the country to collect signatures and contributions for the registration of their political party before the National Elections Jury (JNE).
Currently, Boluarte and others involved, such as Jorge Chingay and Jorge Luis Ortiz Marreros, have been fugitives since November 2024, after 36 months of preventive detention was ordered against them. Judge Richard Concepción Carhuancho was the one who ordered the measure, under charges of criminal organization and other crimes.
