Public Ministry determines national arraignment and monthly signature for FACH officers accused of the Hercules C-130 case

The Public Ministry determined national arraignment and monthly signature for the four Air Force officers (FACH) accused of tort of homicide in the case of the tragedy of the Hercules C-130 plane that fell into the Drake Sea, between the mainland and the Antarctica, in December 2019.

The measure was decreed towards Julio Ojeda, Marcelo Mella, Allan Asenjo and Eduardo Mosqueira, who are listed as the culprits for the institution’s negligence.

There were 38 people on the plane, including 21 passengers and 17 crew members. The purpose of the trip was to carry out maintenance and research activities.

The defense of three of the defendants requested 100 days to develop the investigation after the formalization, which the Public Ministry and the complainants extended to eight months.
