When interviewed, the superior prosecutor pointed out that the citizen’s arrest proceeds in those remote polling places that do not have police and prosecutors and must take place without any type of violence.

He indicated that citizen arrest is the power that any person who has been a witness or victim of any crime or a criminal act has to arrest and intervene the aggressor to immediately place him at the disposal of the police authority.

“Once the person involved in an offense has been arrested, he must be immobilized and placed “immediately” at the disposal of the police authority, so that he can be investigated for the criminal act he has committed and be submitted to the judicial authority. What a person should not do is punish the detainee, give him physical abuse or public humiliation, ”he commented.

Cases of this type of arrest occur when there is voter impersonation, disturbance of the electoral process, induction to not vote or to do so in a certain direction, illegal advertising of the direction of the vote, when they falsify or destroy the electoral register, voter books, scrutiny, if they steal IDs and others.
