The Public Ministry made official changes in various areas headed by supreme deputy prosecutors, including the Illicit Enrichment and Constitutional Complaints office where the prosecutor who questioned the president was assigned peter castle.
In the resolution of the Office of the Prosecutor of the Nation 1385-2022-MP-FN published on Saturday, July 9, the departure of provisional supreme deputy prosecutor Samuel Agustín Rojas Chávez as coordinator of the Specialized Area for Illicit Enrichment and Constitutional Denunciations, a position he had held since March 30, 2022, was formalized.
The aforementioned magistrate will now be in charge of the First Supreme Criminal Prosecutor’s Office.
Samuel Rojas was the prosecutor who participated in the proceeding on June 17, where Pedro Castillo responded for alleged acts of corruption for which former Minister Juan Silva and six Popular Action congressmen are being investigated in the National Prosecutor’s Office.
He was also in charge of supporting before the Judiciary the position of the Public Ministry in defense of the decision to expand and initiate the investigation against the head of state despite the claims of the legal defense of Castillo Terrones.
In replacement of Rojas Chávez, Elmer Constantino Ríos Luque was appointed, who leaves the Supreme Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Crimes Committed by Public Officials.
Ríos Luque will be in charge of the Specialized Area in Illicit Enrichment. Meanwhile, the prosecutor Marco Miguel Huamán Muñoz will be in charge of the Specialized Area for Constitutional Complaints.
Other confirmed changes are the transfer of Martín Felipe Salas Zegarra from the First Supreme Criminal Prosecutor’s Office to occupy the Fourth Superior Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Crimes of Corruption of Officials, replacing Judith Katia Delgado Panez.
The latter will now be in charge of the Supraprovincial Corporate Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Corruption Crimes of Officials.
