This Sunday, Attorney General Tarek William Saab reported the appointment of five prosecutors to investigate acts of corruption in which public officials are involved.
Through his account on the social network Twitter, Saab published “The Public Ministry informs the appointment of Prosecutors 50, 67, 69, 85 and 94 to investigate the serious acts of Corruption that link public officials in reprehensible criminal plots: We ratify thus our commitment to Justice and Truth.
In the document, the Public Ministry informs that after notification of the National Anti-Corruption Police of the detention of public officials allegedly involved in serious acts of corruption, initiated the pertinent proceedings for the purposes of prosecuting them.
Therefore, to carry out the investigations, it appointed prosecutors 50, 67, 69, 85 and 94 with jurisdiction over corruption, organized crime, human rights and full jurisdiction.
The text highlights that “the illicit investigations correspond to different branches and levels of the Public Power and involve strategic sectors for national development and the administration of justice.”
Finally, it points out that in order to protect the interests of the nation against unscrupulous practices and officials, the Public Ministry reiterates its commitment to fight against corruption and seek justice.
