Public institutions and TSJE coordinate tasks for internship students

For this reason, the The Ministry of Public Health calls for the solidarity of people who are in good health to approach the nearest post to make a voluntary donation, before embarking on a trip, in order to help cover transfusion needs.

Donating blood is an act that must be carried out constantly, in order to contribute to stock supply required in public and private blood services. In that context, donors are urged to make the “next station” a place to donate blood:

– The Donor House: located at Avda. España 2,210 almost Venezuela, from Monday to Friday, from 07:00 to 17:00.

CENSUS (next to the Trauma hospital): Monday to Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday Sundays, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

– Hemocenter of the hospital clinics.

– Production Center of the regional hospital of Incarnation: on Jorge Menmel and National Independence, from Monday to Friday, from 07:00 to 17:00.

– Production Center national hospital: Monday to Sunday, from 06:00 to 17:30.

– House of the Donor of Eastern City: from Monday to Friday, from 07:00 to 15:30.

– Blood Production Center of the IPS: Monday to Sunday, from 06:30 (except Good Friday).

Likewise, to the Transfusion Medicine Unit of the following hospitals:

– San Lorenzo Transfusion Medicine Unit: in the hospital st lawrenceor, Monday to Saturday, from 07:00 to 12:30.

– Transfusion Medicine Unit of capiatá: Tuesday, from 07:00 to 15:00.

– General Hospital of luke: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, from 07:00 to 11:00 and from 13:00 to 16:00.

– Hospital Col. Oviedo: Monday to Friday, from 06:30 to 11:30 and from 12:30 to 17:30.

– Hospital Pillar: Monday to Thursday, from 07:00 to 12:00.

– National Institute of Cardiology (INC) (San Jorge hospital): Monday to Saturday, from 07:00 to 12:00.

Basic requirements to donate blood

To donate blood, you need to be 18 years old and up to 65 years old, weigh more than 50 kg, as well as be a healthy person, with no history of recent illnesses or surgeries. Women who are pregnant or lactating cannot donate.

It is mandatory to present the identity card, and it is not necessary to be fasting.
