The COVID-19 pandemic challenged the health area in various aspects and, as one of the lessons learned, in vaccination, it is worth mentioning the progress made to improve the digital divide in the area of technology and information.
In this sense, the Expanded Program on Immunizations (PAI) is one of the examples, with the availability of an interactive map of vaccination coverage against the virus, recently presented as a resource on its website, available to the entire population with access to Internet.
The interactive map of vaccination coverage is an interesting innovation, the resource is displayed on the following site: https://pai.mspbs.gov.py/where updated vaccinated reports can be obtained.
With this tool, people can see the updated vaccination schedule. Be it the first, the second or the booster doses, with well-defined and differentiated colors and ages, within each region and city.
It is a useful element and is valued for the transparency of data and information, in addition to being a source for reports or studies that are necessary. Also, at the bottom of the page is the daily vaccination report in Paraguay, where the vaccination data that is carried out at the country level in the different campaigns is presented.
In Paraguay, the dose against COVID-19 is applied from the age of 5, with two doses being the complete schedule, up to 11 years of age, and from 12 onwards, three doses are the complete schedule, with the second dose already available reinforcement from the age of 18.
It is important to highlight that the public has the line 138 service available, from Monday to Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., for inquiries about vaccination against COVID-19, vaccination and care in certain cases, and others. It can be accessed free of charge from any telephone, low line or cell phone, throughout the national territory.
