Santo Domingo. – The Ministry of Public health (MSP), through the General Directorate of Qualification and Accreditationordered the immediate closure of the Cemekar Plass plastic surgery and consultation center for failing to comply with the General Health Law 42-01 and regulation 1138-03 of Qualification and Accreditation.
In a press release, the institution indicated that During inspections carried out by accredited personnel, irregularities were detected that represent significant risks to the health of users and employees.in violation of the rules established for the correct functioning of this type of establishments.

Currently, the center operated in a new location, on Club de Leones Street, Santo Domingo Este, without the corresponding authorization, so it was closed again.
Furthermore, the center did not meet appropriate biosafety requirements for hospital waste management and sample collection.
The MSP indicated that the closure will persist until those responsible for the center comply with the authorization standards and legal requirements established by the General Health Law 42-01 and the Authorization Regulation 1138-03.
