The United Socialist Party of Venezuela offered the details of how the election of the Bolívar Chávez (Ubch) battle units will be carried out next Saturday, as well as the designation of their corresponding chiefs.
The first vice president of the political organization, Diosdado Cabello, reported at a press conference that, unlike the processes that took place the last two weekends, this time the activity will be more complex, because it is about electing the 10 people who will integrate each Ubch, each one classified in a greater territorial extension.
“Because each community has six streets on average, and it may be that a street is relatively far from a particular site within the same community,” he said, and for this reason he announced that this time the duration of the process will be extended, at the beginning at 12:00 noon and finish at 6:00 in the afternoon. Regarding this period, he explained that between 12:00 noon and 1:00 in the afternoon the application and self-application process will be carried out, while voting will take place between 1:00 and 6:00 in the afternoon.
Next, he informed that the voters will be able to choose between one and five people and assured that this modality will favor the precision and transparency in the election of the work team that will accompany each head of Ubch.
He stressed that whoever registers the highest vote in the respective community will be elected as head of the new Ubch. In the event of a tie, he stressed that there will not be a repetition of the election to define the winner, but that the decision will be made by the PSUV National Directorate.
He announced that for this election there will be two lists: the first would include people registered with the PSUV, while the second list would include young people over the age of 15 who are not registered in the CNE electoral register, as well as those from other communities that prove their residence in the place where they are now going to vote. he
