PSUV successfully completed development of information assemblies

This Sunday successfully concluded the 269,000 popular information assemblies of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) throughout the country in order to explain the renewal process of the Base Structures and the election of the promoter following the guidelines of President Nicolás Maduro .

Vice President of Organization United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Pedro Infante, indicated that the informative street assemblies – installed this weekend – allow the flags of participatory and protagonist democracy, promoted by the Bolivarian Revolution, to be raised.

In a telephone contact with Venezolana de Televisión, Infante pointed out that this day, in addition, allows “humanizing the political process” of the organization.

«It is the new organization that has a central slogan, which is to organize, unite and add. Humanize the political process. The PSUV and the Revolution its center is the human being, and hence the need for this party to be more and more humane, but at the same time, to rescue, to meet again, to re-raise the flags of deep democracy with great force,” said Infante.

Specifically, this weekend, 269,000 popular information assemblies were held, heading for the appointment and election processes that will take place in the coming weeks.

«You have to see 269,000 meetings, men and women giving their opinions, debating. It is an extraordinary exercise of participatory and protagonist democracy”, added the PSUV Vice President of Organization.

This weekend, he explained, the promoters who will convene the electoral assemblies were chosen to define the new members of the 14,381 Bolívar-Chávez Battle Units (UBCh).

“That is what we are choosing in this process of deep democracy and in the idea for the organization of the new era for this transition to socialism,” he stressed.

It should be remembered that, in these assemblies, all people over 15 years of age participate, whether they are party-identified or not.

Grassroots elections will begin on August 20, for new street leaders. Later, on August 27, the election of the community teams will take place. For September 3, it is expected to elect the new members of the Bolívar-Chávez Battle Units (UBCh).
