PSUV stands in solidarity with the Brazilian people in the face of right-wing attacks

The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) Diosdado Cabello, said Monday that the political organization rejects the right-wing attacks against the people of Brazil.

At a press conference, he indicated his support for the government of Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva “the PSUV expresses absolute solidarity with the Brazilian people and President Lula and that what those people decided is respected. We do it with absolute belief, it generates a balance in Latin America. We know the performance of the right.”

He explained that in the PSUV, “we have established a position on what has been happening in Brazil with the racist right, which does not admit that the people of Brazil spoke out and chose comrade Lula as president. Those are the plans of the right in the whole world”.

In this sense, he explained “let’s review history, what is happening in Brazil is an alert. There is the case of Peru, it is exactly the same, an attempted coup d’état. The majority of the Brazilian people feel that with Lula they have found peace”.

National Assembly

Likewise, he expressed the PSUV’s support for the leadership of the Venezuelan National Assembly, “we are complying with this Constitution, we are not inventing anything. The only National Assembly is the one chaired by Jorge Rodríguez. They (the right) do not recognize the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela”.

“I was remembering that in the Assembly that started in 2016 with Ramos Allup, they approved only one Law in five years,” Cabello said.

political strength

He stressed that “Chavismo is firmer and clearer every day, we can sit down and talk to anyone and we take the truth as an argument. We are not going to the dialogue to capitulate”.

“They live in another world because their interests are other, that’s why they are as they are. They (the right) thought it was time to get richer than they had, they divided up the country and allowed them to take assets from Venezuela,” Cabello said.

He expressed “the year 2022 ended and we wish him a year 2023 with great wisdom and a desire to continue fighting. We have taken stock, we reviewed the plans of the Party and the Youth of the PSUV”.
