Information that continues to spread in each territory, warming up for the great march on Monday, January 23, “he said in the middle of a work meeting in which actions and logistics were refined to march on Monday, January 23.

The march in Caracas

«We are all going to the streets, because with Ripe Let’s go ahead”, is the slogan of the red awning, which it promotes through its social networks.

The PSUV, on its social networks, sends a message for the 65th anniversary of the popular civic-military victory against the dictatorship of Marcos Pérez Jiménez.

Here the full statement:

The United Socialist Party of Venezuela PSUV, commemorates the Popular Civic-Military Victory of the Venezuelan people for the 65th Anniversary of the overthrow of the Marcos Pérez Jiménez dictatorship, on January 23, 1958, and we rescue the national historical memory of the betrayal of the people Venezuelan with the disastrous Punto Fijo Pact, its original name was the New York Pact or Rockefeller Pact, since it was actually signed in that city in the United States, under the auspices of Nelson Rockefeller, the same head of the Standard Oil, which is known today as Exxon-Mobil. Said fateful document signed by the leadership of the same right-wing parties today, later, in the midst of drinks, they once again pretended that they were signing it in a house called Punto Fijo, owned by Rafael Caldera, to make believe the people that had been made in our country.

January 23 is a date of a historic moment for our heroic people, who were betrayed in their victory and their desires for democracy, change, equality, freedom, and social justice by a right-wing leadership that was subservient to imperial interests. , as his behavior has always been.

That beginning of 1958 heralded the end of the dictatorship, with the rebellion of the Aviation in Maracay led by Colonel HUGO TREJO, on January 1, demanding the resignation of Marcos Pérez Jiménez, being in this sense the main protagonist of a historical trigger that he would propitiate in later days, which was accompanied by a great popular mobilization, of workers and workers, of the patriotic youth, of an entire arrogant people that demanded freedom, democracy and national independence and where the role of the Patriotic Junta with FABRICIO OJEDA to the head will be vital to achieve, with the general strike on January 21, the final objective on January 23 of that year, the essential reason for this commemoration.

HUGO TREJO denounces the betrayal of the leadership of the right-wing parties, AD, Copey, URD, who kidnapped the people’s struggles as well as the democratic and development desires of our Nation:

“I would not say that it failed, I believe that on January 1 it triumphed on January 23, although once the dictatorship fell, others were the political beneficiaries.” This immediate betrayal of the democratic desires of the Venezuelan people, signed in the disastrous Punto Fijo Pact, was also denounced by the then Deputy Fabricio Ojeda in his memorable Letter of Resignation from the National Congress of June 30, 1962, where he stated: «On 23 January, I confess as a creative self-criticism, nothing happened in Venezuela, except the simple change of some men for others at the head of public destinies. Nothing was done to eradicate privileges or injustices…

On January 23 there was only one name change. The exploitative oligarchy, the servants of imperialism sought immediate accommodation in the new government.”

It is opportune to remember the guiding and strategic reflection of our All-Time Commander HUGO CHÁVEZ, during his message on January 23, 2003, on this historic date and its profound significance for the popular struggles that today since the Bolivarian Revolution and the entire country we have been giving:

«Today is January 23, it opened a path to hope, a path however, which is good to remember, it brought frustration to the dreams of the people, to the hope of the Venezuelan people; January 23, 1958 brought with it a new betrayal of the Venezuelan people, and the Venezuelan people do not deserve even one more betrayal, the people do not betray themselves, with the people they fight and build a Homeland. We are here collecting the original spirit of January 23 and returning it to the Venezuelan people, uniting that spirit of January 23 with the rebellious spirit of February 4, 1992, date of revolution and date of Homeland, uniting that path, the same path that it had already brought us to February 27, 1989 and then to November 27 of that year 92; and then, after so many days of organization, thought and action, we arrived at the day of December 6, 1998, that memorable day when the people broke the chains of the Punto Fijo pact and began to outline this revolutionary path; and then on February 2, 1999, when the people peacefully took power in Venezuela, after so long.”

Rescuing the historical truth and in honor of the glorious people who in a Civic-Military union defeated the dictatorship, the United Socialist Party of Venezuela PSUV commemorates this 65th Anniversary with the permanent mobilization of a conscious and patriotic people who have known, together with the President Conductor of Victories NICOLÁS MADURO MOROS, to live up to the great challenges imposed by the same American empire that supported and endorsed the betrayal of that January 23, 1958 and subsequent years, as well as the anti-democratic maneuvers of the heirs of the Punto Fijo Pact expressed in those leaders of the right-wing parties that always seek to harm the people and the homeland.

The PSUV on this 65th Anniversary of January 23, 1958, we remember the fighting spirit of those men and women to make them flourish in our truly democratic, free, prosperous and independent homeland where the Bolivarian maxims of peace, equality will reign forever. , prosperity, happiness and social justice. It is our destiny and with Nicolás Maduro made President of the People ruling the country, we will achieve it, because We Will Win!!!

TODAY WE HAVE A COUNTRY!!! WE WILL WIN!!!

National Directorate of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, on the twenty-third day of January 2023, 40 years after the Patriotic Oath in Samán de Güere, year 30 of the 4F of the rescue of National Dignity, 24 years after the Bolivarian Revolution and 20 years of the Civic-Military Union.
