The head of the campaign command for the PSUV in Chacao, Freddy Gutiérrez, said that the ruling organization is adjusting its machinery with an eye toward the re-election of the ruling Nicolás Maduro. He referred that while Maduro conducts polls throughout Venezuela, with a country project, the opposition barely defines the bases for the primaries.
The United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) works to oil the municipal and regional political teams for the 2024 presidential elections.
This Thursday, October 20, the head of the PSUV campaign command in Chacao, Freddy Gutiérrez, said that the pro-government organization is making adjustments to its machinery with its sights set on the re-election of Governor Nicolás Maduro.
“We come from an internal process of renewing the bases, the street leaders, the community leaders, the heads of UBCH, as well as later, in the next few days, we will be renewing the political teams. municipal, regional,” said the leader of the PSUV, in an interview with Radio Union.
The pro-government leader stressed that the pesuvista militancy has an active participation in the process of updating the bases.
Likewise, Freddy Gutiérrez stressed that, unlike the opposition, the PSUV is clear about who will be the presidential candidate and works based on that. He referred that while Maduro conducts surveys throughout Venezuela, with a project for the country, the opposition barely defines the bases for its primaries.
On the other hand, the leader of the PSUV recalled that, this Sunday, October 23, citizens will be able to participate in the Miranda 2022 Public Consultation to decide in which axis the resources of the Popular Power Fund will be invested.
In the consultation, each of the 55 parishes in the state will have 10 polling stations.
“In this consultation next Sunday, the people of Miranda, the 55 parishes of the Miranda state, will be able to choose where the resources of the Miranda state government will be allocated. Each parish in the state will be able to choose what the priorities are for their area”, he expressed.
