The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (Psuv), Diosdado Cabello, described as extraordinary the day of the National Simulation against potential disasters or armed conflicts held last Saturday, highlighting the participation of the people.
«There was on Saturday a Civil Protection drill and preparation of the people in perfect popular, military, police fusion, for life and for peace. It was an extraordinary day, all of Venezuela, ”he said during the press conference of the political awning on Monday.
He recalled that there were more than 430 points installed and that the people mobilized throughout the day to receive the instruction, “both natural and caused by human beings were attended: explosions, fires, attacks.”
Cabello highlighted the organization of the population in schools, hospitals, state agencies, in the subway and airports. “A highly positive day,” he emphasized.
He recognized civil protection and firefighters for their permanent disposition to share their knowledge with the people.
Christmas arrival
He also recalled that on October 1 Christmas starts in the country, an announcement that the President of the Republic made, Nicolás Maduro.
“For the bitter ones there will be no Christmas, according to them, but for us yes,” he said and added that this sector of “bitter” are the ones who have determined “to call violence, in summoning destabilizing actions and generating terrorist facts in our country.”
Plenary of the V Congress of the PSUV
Cabello indicated that for this week the celebration of the plenary of the V Congress of the Party is planned.
“The United Socialist Party of Venezuela is pending the plenary of the V Congress, it should be this week with very particular issues for decision making, adapt the structure to the current situation we have against our country,” he said.
He added that this will be done to give quick responses and concentrate on the corresponding issues before these moments of siege and attack against the country.
The right underestimate
The secretary general denied the right of the right about the military ascent of Francisco Ameliach, Francisco Arias Cárdenas and Wilmar Castro Soteldo, who sought to make believe that active military did not accept the promotions.
He stressed that these actions demonstrate the ignorance of the opposition sector and those who believe they will attack the country. “They are not underestimating us that they will be worse (…) have been deceiving their people for a long time,” he said and added that “they continue to fall to Coba, continue underestimating, that they will not do well.”
Cabello said that today Venezuela, popular power, armed force, police forces and state agencies “are solidly amalgamated in a single force.”
He also reiterated that Venezuela will go ahead and that there is no way for the Bolivarian Revolution to be stopped.
