This Friday night, councilor Pedro Antonio Martínez Sosa (Psuv-Petare) was murdered, according to police reports.
Martínez Sosa was in the La Virgencita sector, zone 5 of the José Félix Rivas neighborhood, Petare, sharing with two friends. And at that moment two people arrived on a motorcycle, one of whom went straight to the councilman and shot him eight times in various parts of the body, according to reports.
Upon seeing the situation, neighbors took Martínez Sosa to the Ana Francisca Pérez de León hospital where he was admitted without vital signs.
Friends and neighbors of the political leader gathered outside the aforementioned health center, while commissions from the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) began a special operation to find those responsible for the homicide.
They presume that the murder was perpetrated by members of the gang founded by Wilexis Acevedo Monasterios (EL Wilexis), who organized the violent protests in Petare after the presidential elections on Sunday, July 28, in which candidate Nicolás Maduro was the winner.
