From the Plaza Román Eduardo Sandía in the Libertador municipality in the state of Mérida, this Thursday, the first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, swore in more than 30,000 people from Merida, who were elected to the positions of heads of streets and community, as well as heads of the Bolívar-Chávez Battle Units (UBCh).
In the swearing-in speech, Cabello directed the militancy to continue building the commitment to the People, “a recently elected community chief must visit his neighbors, keep a notebook and record the needs, he must inform the communities what it is done from the Bolivarian Government, becoming that leader, and discussing in assemblies the decisions to be made… President Nicolás Maduro has the political high command, you are the high command in your streets and communities, one with the President».
He recalled that the National President called these PSUV base elections so that people in their habitat exercise the role of street boss or community with the People, “you are due to the conscience of a people, which is capable of trusting their own people, here there is no one imposed from Caracas, they enjoy the legitimacy, to advance and take the PSUV to a safe port, to consolidate the victories, in the vanguard».
He also stressed that Maduro has oriented three strategic lines to advance in the consolidation of the Bolivarian Revolution, which are to organize, unite and add.
Regarding the next presidential elections, Cabello pointed out that “we are ready for the next electoral battle, now, if the fascist right insists as it has always insisted, supported by the American empire, by way of violence, shortcut and guarimba , here is the PSUV, to defend the constitution… we know what the steps are, a sure hand does not get stuck, “said Cabello.
He referred that “Merida people will never have corrupt rulers, bitter beings… here are women heroines along with men committed to Jehyson Guzmán.”
