Federal deputies from the PSOL-RJ bench reported this Thursday (19) that they asked the Federal Supreme Court (STF) to order the arrest of federal deputy Alexandre Ramagem (PL-RJ). 
The measure was taken after the PlatôBR website announced that Ramagem is in Miami, in the United States. Earlier, he was filmed by the site’s team while entering a condominium in the North American city.
According to parliamentarians, “everything indicates” that Ramagem fled Brazil. The arrest was requested by deputies Pastor Henrique Vieira, Glauber Braga, Chico Alencar, Tarcísio Motta and Talíria Petrone.
Former director of the Brazilian Intelligence Agency (Abin) during the Bolsonaro government, Ramage was sentenced in the coup plot’s criminal action to 16 years in prison and is free to appeal.
During the investigation, Ramagem was banned by minister Alexandre de Moraes from leaving the country and had to surrender all national and foreign passports.
The deputy’s alleged escape occurs at a time when the end of the process and the execution of the sentences of the deputy and the other defendants, including former president Jair Bolsonaro, are approaching.
Last week, the defendants of Core 1 their appeals against their conviction were denied by the First Panel of the Court.
With the decision, the defenses must file the last appeals in the next few days to avoid immediate enforcement of the convictions.
Ramagem’s defense informed that it will not comment.
