Provisional detention for adolescent linked to the homicide of a student at the Rufo A. Garay school in Colón

A 16-year-old minor was provisionally detained for the crimes of homicide and attempted homicide, which occurred on the afternoon of Thursday, September 22, at the Rufo A. Garay educational center, in the city of Colón.

During the hearing, held on Saturday, September 24, the Public Ministry requested the legalization of an exceptional search, arrest and formulation of accusation against the minor, requests that were admitted by the Provincial Adolescent Criminal Judge.

In addition, the Prosecutor’s Office was granted a period of one year to investigate the case, in which a 15-year-old adolescent died as a result of gunshots and two other minors, 17 and 16 years of age, were injured. .
