The Corredor de las Playas project, developed by the Ministry of Public Works (MOP) in the district of La Chorrera, province of Panama Oeste, through the company Puentes y Calzadas Infraestructuras SLU. Panama branch, is currently carrying out provisional adjustments related to the construction of a six-lane viaduct, which begins at the exit of the Arraiján – La Chorrera highway and ends in the La Pesa sector.
These provisional adjustments are intended to continue the work on the viaduct, which is 1,756 meters long and has a total deck width of 26.50 meters.
The provisional adaptations consist of the conformation of an access ramp that will serve as an alternative diversion of the lanes with a sense of the interior of the country; with the vehicular bridge towards the center of La Chorrera.
Drivers traveling from the interior of the country to the center of La Chorrera must continue in the left lane at the entrance to the Arraijan-La Chorrera highway and then turn around and connect with the enabled ramp that will integrate them back into the section of the vehicular bridge that will remain open
These provisional adaptations are necessary because part of the piles of the new viaduct coincide with the access road to the center of La Chorrera, which must be removed to continue with the work.
It should be noted that the start date of this operation will be announced soon.
The MOP and the company Puentes y Calzadas Infraestructuras SLU Panama apologize for the temporary inconveniences that this may cause to users who use this road
