For the 52nd anniversary of the province of Ilo, in Moquegua, the 2022 Ileña Friendship and Identity Parade was held. More than 60 delegations representing the different public and private institutions participated in the celebration.

After two years in confinement due to COVID-19, there was a massive activity with dances, allegorical cars, choreographies and various representations of different traditions of the region.

This year’s winners, according to the jury’s rating, were the Jorge Basadre Merchants Association, obtaining 188 points, and the Marinera de Corazón Center, with 176. Regarding floats, the winners were the Pepeton Gym, with 190 points. and the Mar Plaza Shopping Center with 175.

Julio Valdivia Portugal, general coordinator, thanked the participation in the parade. Likewise, he invited the winners to come to the local Ilo Lions Club for the award ceremony.
