The Ministry of Education (MEC) releases, this Friday (23), the result of the second call of the University for All Program (Prouni), referring to the selection process for the second semester of 2024.
To check if they are eligible, students must access the Single Portal for Access to Higher Education. As of 11 am this Friday, the list was not yet available.
The federal program offers full and partial scholarships for undergraduate and specific training courses at private higher education institutions. The initiative has two editions per year.
In 2024, the MEC offered 651,483 scholarships in Prouni, including full (100%) and partial (50%). In both editions of the year, the program had 910,419 candidates enrolled. Since each participant can choose up to two courses, Prouni had more than 1.8 million applications this year.
Documentation
Pre-selected candidates must provide proof in person or submit virtually to the higher education institution to which they applied all the information provided at the time of registration, by September 4th. The documentation will be forwarded to the Prouni coordinator within the institution itself.
The higher education institution must provide a specific field for submission on its website. Upon receiving the candidate’s documentation, private higher education institutions must provide the candidate with proof of submission of the documentation.
Additionally, they will need to record the approval or disapproval of participants in the Prouni Computerized System. The institution must also issue the term granting the scholarship or rejecting the pre-selected candidate.
