Applications for the 2nd semester of the University for All Program (Prouni) can be submitted between July 23 and 26, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Education (MEC). More than 243,000 scholarships will be offered for this edition of the program. Applications must be submitted by Single Portal for Access to Higher Education.
Registration is free and the results of the pre-selected Prouni candidates for the 2nd semester of 2024 will be announced on July 31st, in the first call, and on August 20th, in the second call.
Those who are not selected can join the waiting list, expressing interest between September 9th and 10th. The waiting list will be available on September 13th at Prouni System (Sisprouni).
To participate in Prouni, the student must have participated in the National High School Exam (Enem) in 2022 or 2023 and have a minimum score of 450 points on average in the five tests, in addition to a score above zero in the essay. Registration is free.
The interested party must also have a family income per person that does not exceed one and a half minimum wages for full scholarships and up to three minimum wages for partial scholarships, which cover 50% of the costs of higher education.
The MEC is expected to publish detailed information on scholarships, locations, courses, shifts and participating institutions on the Prouni website this Thursday (18). To register, participants must be registered with the federal government’s Single Login and create an account on the gov.br portal. If they are already registered, simply log in with their Individual Taxpayer Registry (CPF) and password.
Prouni
Created in 2004, Prouni offers scholarships (full or partial) for undergraduate and specific training courses at private higher education institutions. Prouni takes place twice a year and is aimed at students without a higher education degree.
