“So far, there are two airports that remain closed due to the climate of insecurity and violence of which they were victims: Arequipa and Juliaca”, they expressed.

All this, they specified, endangers not only the connectivity of these areas, but also thousands of people who need to travel to other cities, including those who need to travel for health reasons.
“It fills us with regret that these criminal and illegal acts have caused blockades of multiple land routes, as well as extensive damage to the Juliaca and Arequipa airport facilities, affecting air operations to and from these cities in the coming days,” they highlighted.
In the same way, they assured that the presence of acts of vandalism in various regions has led to “a climate of uncertainty and citizen insecurity that has affected the integrity and lives of people.”
