This Thursday, January 19, a new day of protest took place throughout the country. The Minister of LaborAlfonso Adrianzén, gave details of how the protests affected the workforce in all regions.
The official reported that 70% of the country worked normally. In addition, he congratulated the workers in regions such as Callao and Lambayeque, where there were no incidents.
“According to the data from the regional authorities of Sunafil reported until 4:00 in the afternoon, 70% of the national territory has worked 100% normally,” said Adrianzén.
“I want to congratulate the workforce in Callao, Piura, Tumbes, Amazonas and Loreto,” he added. In addition, he said that “there have been incidents that have nothing to do with social protest, but with a politically determined agenda.”
He also announced that he will meet this Friday with leaders of the CGTP. “I urge other union leaders, like the CGTP, to discuss a labor agenda and not a political agenda,” he added.
ASKED TO DO REMOTE WORK
The head of Labor and Employment Promotion once again made a call to carry out remote work again this Friday, January 20.
“Faced with the actions that have altered public order, the Ministry of Labor has already communicated our exhortation for remote work to continue this Friday to maintain the safety of workers,” he said.
