The explosion of the firecrackers caused some windows in the Senate to break.
The building has been under security since this morning, as protesters entered the Upper House on September 10 when the reform of the Judiciary was being discussed, causing the session to be suspended.
For this reason, the president of the Upper House, Gerardo Fernández Noroña, ordered the legislative premises to be protected with metal fences and police to prevent the entry of protesters.
