Around 1:00 p.m., a group of protesters began to walk down Av. Manchego Muñoz, demanding that the businesses close their doors. In the vicinity of Plaza Santa Ana, they threw eggs at poultry stores and other businesses.
Carlos Samaniego, a partner in one of the affected businesses, stated that they seek to earn their daily livelihood honestly.
“We pay rent, we pay the staff month by month, they think how easy it is to go on strike and close the premises, who pays the rent for the premises? Who pays the staff? Where do we get it? If they They support us for the payment, if they want I’ll close it for a month,” said Samaniego.
During the demonstration, they headed through the streets towards the Plaza de Armas and the Regional Government of Huancavelica.
