RPP Noticias reported that protesters set fire to and looted this afternoon the Danper agro-industrial company, located on the Panamericana Sur highway, in the Majes district, in the Arequipa region.
According to the aforementioned media, a group of citizens entered the company -which transports different products such as fruit and vegetables- where they caused a fire. The workers had to leave the place in order to avoid injuries.
Likewise, it was reported that another group of protesters set fire to the Judiciary, thus losing documents that were on the party table, as well as computer equipment and other belongings.
Danper is pronounced
Through a statement, Danper reported that its operations were suspended last Monday, so no human loss of its personnel has been reported after the attack on its plant in El Pedregal.
They also indicated that the impact of the attack on their facilities reached material losses due to the fact that the mob of criminals set fire to some offices and a warehouse, a situation that was controlled by their emergency brigade.
“We reiterate our firm commitment to the safety and integrity of our workers in these circumstances of chaos and violence in our country,” it reads.
