This Saturday there was a march against the government from peter castle in some districts of Lima. However, unlike the mobilizations of previous weeks, this time the attendees not only demanded the departure of the head of state, but also that of the vice president and minister of Development and Social Inclusion, Dina Boluarte.
“Because of his inability to govern. Outside, Pedro Castillo. Outside, Dina Boluarte. Quit now”, reads a banner where the logo of the Peruvian Aprista Partywhose registration was canceled by the National Elections Jury for not having reached at least five representatives in Congress, in more than one constituency, or 5% of the valid votes in the entire Peruvian territory in the election to Parliament.
Similarly, another group calling for Castillo and Boluarte to leave is La Resistencia, a far-right group linked to Fujimori whose members publicly or virtually harass politicians contrary to their line of thought.

“Until they quit. Neither Castillo nor Boluarte. Saturday April 9. San Martin Plaza. La Resistencia”, reads a flyer that he shared on his Twitter account. Juan José ‘Jota Maelo’ Munico Gonzalesleader of the violent group, which was convicted by the Judiciary for the crime against honor and aggravated defamation to the detriment of the Legal Defense Institute (IDL). For this, he must pay 10,000 soles and serve a 120-day fine.
Little call in progress against Pedro Castillo
The mobilization in Plaza San Martín did not call for an amount greater than or equal to that which protested against the curfew decreed by Pedro Castillo for the last Tuesday, this was recognized by Lourdes Flores Nanopromoter of “electoral fraud” that participates in the majority of marches that seek the departure of the head of state through any figure (vacancy, resignation or constitutional accusation).
“Obviously (the march) does not have the dimensions of Tuesday’s, but it is still an interesting meeting,” the former leader of the Popular Christian Party told Canal N.

Incidents were recorded in progress against Pedro Castillo
During the development of the march, incidents were reported. In the afternoon there was an altercation between citizens calling for the resignation of President Pedro Castillo and government supporters.
Hours later, attacks on citizens were reported, such as the former presidential candidate Lourdes Flores Nano, who had a bottle thrown at her while walking through the streets of Plaza San Martín.
A journalist from Canal N, who was covering the mobilization, was also a victim of the clashes when a stone fell on his leg. The press man was evacuated to a health center because he had problems walking.
