Havana Cuba. – Dozens of religious belonging to apostolic congregations of the capital gathered last Sunday in the town of Casablanca, at the foot of the Christ of Havana, to start the national movement “Time of intersection for the liberation of Cuba”.
According to the apostle Jesús Noel Carballeda, leader of one of the congregations present, through prayer the religious movement asks for “the liberation of Cuba from the restoration of faith” towards God, as well as respect for religious and civil rights.
“What we are starting here today is being done in unison across the country. It is the beginning of a time of intersection for Cuba, because the nation does not belong to any man who intends to govern it; its riches belong to all of us who were born here and that is why we have to snatch the loot from the tyrant and all those who, for years, have deprived us of said riches,” said Carballeda.
The leader of the Isaiah 61:4 Apostolic Movement stressed that the difficult economic, political and social situation on the Island has deepened the “spiritual orphanhood that hits the nation.”
In that sense, he pointed out that Cuban families are going through a constant process of rupture as a result of the massive exodus derived from the worsening of the crisis.
“We intend to break this orphanhood, so that more parents do not abandon their children and wives to look abroad for what they should get in their land,” he concluded.
For his part, the apostle Luis Maldonado referred to the regime as a “false kingdom, forged without justice.” The prayers and songs around the Christ of Havana, he expanded, seek to break the designs established for Cuba and shower blessings on Cubans.
Numerous publications on social networks show the expansion throughout the Island of the Christian movement Intersection Time for the Liberation of Cuba. Through Facebook, the apostles of various congregations reported activity from Las Tunas, Camagüey and Matanzas, among other provinces.
At the end of August, more than a hundred believers from different denominations gathered in the park of La Virgen del Camino to pray for Cuba, in front of the statue that gives the place its name.
In recent years, several religious leaders have joined the peaceful demonstrations against the political system, the blackouts or the misery suffered by the people.
