Regarding International Women’s Day, the leader and presidential candidate of Acción Democrática (AD), Carlos Prosperi, asserted this Wednesday, March 8, that among his proposals he advances the creation of a gender parity law in the labor field , which allows women to occupy at least 40% of jobs in public administration.
“An important advance in terms of equality and empowerment is that women have the same opportunities and our government can provide those guarantees. Claiming the value of women also involves giving them a significant role in this area,” said Prosperi.
During an activity with female representatives from Lara state, the Acción Democrática en Resistencia standard-bearer highlighted the need to resume the Maternal and Child Feeding Program, a policy that he considered appropriate in terms of providing protection during pregnancy and after childbirth, guaranteeing healthy nutrition of the minors.
“The return of this program, which guarantees that our mothers have the formula and supplements they need, that is the work of a state, to accompany the development of future generations,” the political leader pointed out.
The candidate extended his recognition to all Venezuelan women within the framework of the date, highlighting their courage and their effort in the current economic context of the country.
