The Anti-Money Laundering Prosecutor’s Office ordered this afternoon the start of proceedings against television presenter Andrés Hurtado, better known as ‘Chibolín’, within the framework of the investigation that is being carried out after it was reported that he was involved in acting as an intermediary with a prosecutor to release 100 kilos of gold at the request of Iván Siucho.

Ana Siucho, sister of soccer player Roberto Siucho, accuses him of having asked them for a million dollars to recover the shipment of gold that had been seized by the Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the start of the proceedings for this case, in which prosecutor Elizabeth Peralta is currently involved, will begin with the taking of Hurtado’s statement.

Likewise, the statement will be obtained from Javier Miu Lei (one of the owners of the 100 kilos of gold and cousin of the Siuchos), Ana Siucho, Francisco Siucho, Roberto Siucho, among others.

It will also collect commercial, financial, banking and/or tax information from those involved, between January 2019 and August 2024.

According to the order, there is still no date for Hurtado’s statement, but there is for the others involved.

This Tuesday, the 17th, at 9:30 am, Augusto Javier Miu Lei was summoned to give his testimony under warning. Two hours later, at 11:30 am, Ana Siucho.

On Wednesday 18th, at 9:30 a.m., Iván Siucho will attend the Prosecutor’s Office to give his statement. And, at 11:30 a.m., Roberto Siucho.

PANORAMA: ‘CHIBOLÍN’ SAID THAT THE PROSECUTOR WAS HIS “MOMMY”

Last Sunday, the Sunday program Panorama broadcast a report revealing that Andrés Hurtado called prosecutor Elizabeth Peralta “mommy.”

This is evident from the testimony of effective collaborator Iván Siucho, also investigated for illegal mining, who said – according to Panorama – that his cousin Javier Miu Lei had entered into a commercial conflict with a rival company called Paltarumi, owned by Jimmy Pflucker, so he decided to go to ‘Chibolín’ in search of help to open a legal process against the competition.

“Andrés Hurtado contacted us, invited us to his home and told us that he could not help us with that matter and that he would be happy to help us with any other money laundering issue because his ‘mother’ or ‘mommy’ was Dr. Elizabeth Peralta. He told us that he was the prosecutor’s operator,” said Iván Siucho.

“My cousin Javier felt commercially threatened, so he asked me for a new meeting with Andrés Hurtado in mid-March 2021 to open a money laundering process against the company Paltarumi, owned by Mr. Pfluker, with the intervention of prosecutor Elizabeth Peralta,” is another part of his testimony.
